How to play

Clear enemy lives to earn a reward. Enemy rebounds are random, with safe opening hits; chance rises each round. The enemy tracks the ball harder on higher modes. Brief bullet time near your paddle helps you time Rebound. Chain 3 returns per Rally Momentum tier for bonus points on your next goal. Score through the bracketed Spotlight lane on the enemy goal for a bonus.

Your paddle has grip: move it as the ball arrives to curve your return (a dash curves it more). Hold still and you add no spin, though a curving ball still leaves curving back. Meet a curving ball by moving the way it curves to cancel its kick.

Difficulty

Enemy AI scales with the mode and the round: higher modes read the ball earlier, react faster and aim more precisely. Easier modes react late and miss more edge shots.

Spotlight: one third of the enemy goal is bracketed. Score through it for bonus points; the lane rotates after every goal or lost life.

Esc always pauses and cancels. The mouse always moves the paddle over the arena.

Rebound: press it the moment the ball slows in front of your paddle (the Rebound button reads Ready) to send it back at double speed.

Block: hold the Rebound key before the ball arrives. It absorbs the ball and slows your paddle. Tapping at the right moment is still a Rebound.

          Stage bubbles

solo runs, from the second fight on

Now and then a bubble drifts onto the court. The ball that pops it twists the court for 15 seconds: it stands on end, or turns into a tennis court with gravity, jumps (Shift or Up) and a net. In a room the host has the switch.

          Multiplayer

          two-player rooms only

Your own paddle always moves at once. Input delay holds your presses back a few milliseconds so your opponent's screen needs fewer corrections; Auto uses none on a fast link.

          Multiplayer rooms

Two-player versus in the browser. The host gets a four-character room code; the other player types it in. Play starts straight away and the two browsers link up directly in the background when their networks allow it.
